The most reliable official statement is nuanced: Albania’s National Tourism Agency says camping is allowed in national parks and along the coast, but that it may be prohibited in some areas and travellers should check with the protected-area authority or municipality. Camper rule: local signs, protected-area rules and police/municipal instructions always beat a general country guide. Vehicle category can depend on height, axles and maximum authorised mass.
Parking is not automatically camping
- A legal parking space does not necessarily give permission to put out chairs, awnings, levelling ramps or stay overnight.
